The MDIIM Social Economy Initiative (SEI) at McGill University is establishing a new observatory of the social economy in Montreal’s south-west Quartier de l’Innovation district called the Social Innovators’ Integration Lab (SIIL) with local partners.  SIIL will be housed within the Salon 1861 – a local church that is being repurposed for community engagement, social innovation and social entrepreneurship – and will provide physical as well as virtual space for value-added interaction between students, researchers, practitioners, and community members.

A postdoctoral research associate will be hired beginning January 2016 to help manage the research, education and outreach platform and conduct her/his own social economy research for two years, with the possibility of extension. Please find the full job description here. Apply by September 30, 2015.
