Budgeting 101

Offered through the Centre for Student Academic Support (CSAS), this budgeting workshop is directed towards undergraduate students and is intended to help students learn why budgeting is important, how to budget and to share money saving ideas. Students are shown the process of building a budget for an eight month school year and are given chance to build their own budget with provided worksheets. All workshops are held at CSAS, located on the 4th floor of MacOdrum Library.

Let’s Talk Credit

Let’s Talk Credit seminars are hosted by the Credit Counselling Society, a non-profit service that helps individuals and families find their best options to deal with debt and get their finances back on track. Students who attend this seminar, learn all about credit; from the differences between good and bad credit, the types of credit solutions best suited for students, and how your credit history can affect your future.

Repaying Your Government Student Loans

Repaying Your Government Student Loan workshops are hosted by the National Student Loan Service Centre (NSLSC) and are provided in both webinar and on-campus formats. Students will learn about the repayment process, hints and tips on how to save on interest, and what to do in the event that you are having difficulty making the payments. To attend a webinar, you need to register with the NSLSC.
