The Centre  for European Studies EU Centre of Excellence at Carleton University will be hosting a one-day workshop for high school teachers on teaching the EU in the classroom. The aim of the workshop is to augment teachers’ understanding of Europe, the European Union, and Canada-EU relations, so that this material may be better incorporated into teachers’ programming in a manner consistent with the Ontario curriculum. Topics that will be covered are EU environmental policy and resource management, the Canada-EU Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA), youth unemployment in Canada and the EU, and Canada-EU-Russia relations. We do have a limited amount of funds allocated to provide for supply teachers. This funding, as well as registration, will be provided on a first come, first serve basis. Lunch and parking will be provided for the day. To register, please see 2014 High School Teachers’ Workshop.
