CES and Sprott School of Business present as co-sponsors:
Canada-EU Business Lecture Series
“Canada’s Expanding Trade Agenda: Europe, Asia, and Implications for Business and the Economy”
with Glen Hodgson

Canada’s economic history is closely tied to international trade. After a lull following the FTA with the US and NAFTA, the international trade policy agenda has been re-energized in recent years. The agreement with the EU–CETA–and the recent signing of the Trans-Pacific Partnership are modern and comprehensive agreements, and represent significant steps forward, but with adjustment implications for some sectors.

How did we get to this point? What are the implications for business and the economy? And with a new Liberal federal government, what’s next?

hodgsonAbout the Lecturer: Glen Hodgson holds the position of Senior Vice-President and Chief Economist of the Conference Board of Canada. Before taking on his current position, Hodgson also worked for Export Development Canada, the Department of Finance, and the International Monetary Fund.
