EU Policy towards the Broader Middle East:  the Impact of the Events in Tunisia and Egypt

Winds of change are sweeping the Middle East, a region crucial for EU’s policy and interests. What are the implications of these changes for the EU? How is the EU handling the unfolding of these events? And how will deep modifications in the Middle East affect EU policies and interests in the Broader Middle East? The talk will try to answer these questions, while assessing both current and past EU policy towards the region.

Dr. Costanza Musu obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Department of International Relations. Her latest book on European policy towards the Arab-Israeli peace process was published in 2010.

The event is supported, in part, by a grant from the European Commission.
