The Eurozone Crisis and Its Implications for Transatlantic Relations

German Minister of State Michael Link is coming to Carleton to kick off our new European Perspectives lecture series, which focuses on relevant EU member state positions on a wide variety of issues.  Minister Link will focus on how the EU member states interact with key issues of bilateral relations, and within this context, he will also talk about the implications of the Eurozone crisis on relations with the US and Canada.

Mr. Link is currently the Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office and the Commissioner for Franco-German Cooperation. He has had extensive experience in German politics. Some of the associations he has been active in recently are: the German Council on Foreign Relations, the German Association for Eastern European Studies, the Southeast Europe Association, the German Atlantic Association, the board of the German-Moldovan Forum and the Workers’ Samaritan Federation.
