Short Biographies of Presenters

This conference addresses the relationship between transnationalism and European integration in both theoretical and empirical terms: What relevance does the burgeoning literature on transnationalism have for EU studies, and what lessons might scholars working on transnationalism take from work on the EU? How has transnationalism become relevant in political discourses, practices, and public policies in the EU? Are transnational exchanges a driving force for the European integration process, or do they conflict with attempts to define the character and borders of the European polity?
