Geri Briggs played a critical role here at CFICE. She joined the Canadian Alliance for Community Service-Learning (CASCL) as Director in 2010, where her passion and leadership spearheaded the creation of the SSHRC-funded research project, Community First: Impacts of Community Engagement. She further established an ongoing partnership with Volunteer Canada for shared network activities, such as the 2014 Healthy, Resilient Communities conference and the 2016 national conference hosted by Mount Royal University.

Knowledge mobilization, however, is her true calling, and she’s presented her work and ideas in the field of research dissemination at C2UExpo and the Knowledge Mobilization Forum. She also contributed to a number of networks related to the learning and research functions of an engaged campus. Geri is the knowledge mobilization hub co-lead, and former CFICE project manager. One thing is clear: without her vision and expertise, CFICE would not be where it is today.
