This is a practical, skills-based course on how to design an effective trade and development strategy for Canada. Participants will:

• study how global value chains and the global shift in economic power are reshaping both the trade policy agenda and the trade capacity building “tool kit”;
• develop the skills required to design a practical, trade strategy for Canada;
• learn how Canada can support the trade and development objectives of its developing country partners; and
• gain greater insight into solving the “problem files” that can arrive on a trade/development professional’s desk.
