Foundation Funding

Many foundations, including societies, associations, and not-for-profit organizations, provide funding in support of academic research. These sponsors can provide lucrative opportunities for researchers to secure research funding.

The Research Office regularly searches for funding opportunities from local, national, and international foundations and circulates them to the Carleton community. Foundations often have very specific strategic priorities identified for research support, and applicants must clearly demonstrate alignment with these priorities to be funded. The Research Office can assist you in developing the most competitive application, aligned with the sponsor’s funding priorities.
