Economics Careers Evening

Audience:Anyone

Four recent Carleton economics graduates (Nick Toller – Bank of Canada, Juliana Serje – McSweeney & Associates, Robyn Gibbard – Conference Board of Canada, Alicia Foster – Competition Bureau) will make short presentations on who they are, how they got into the study of economics, how they got their first (and subsequent) jobs, and advice for graduating students, together with a brief discussion of possible future employment opportunities with their current employer and/or more generally. The four alumni presentations will be bookended by brief presentations from Aala Ridha (Careers Services) and Brian Kingston (Ottawa Economics Association – also a Carleton economics alumnus).

Pizza and soft-drink reception in Tory Building Foyer, followed by the presentations in a nearby classroom.

A joint event sponsored by the Carleton Undergraduate Economics Society (CUES) and the Carleton Graduate Economics Society (CGES).
