About MCP

Carleton University offers mini-courses in a variety of subjects. Instructors and graduate students from Carleton’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Faculty of Engineering and Design, Faculty of Public Affairs, Faculty of Science and Sprott School of Business teach the mini-courses.

Admission and registration

The mini-courses are open to any students from grades 8 to 11 in Ontario and secondary levels II to V in Quebec whose school board or private school is a participating member of the program.

Once a student is admitted into a program, they will be asked to select and rank multiple courses. Student placement is based on a random computerized process that occurs once all the application forms are received. Consequently, the first come-first serve principle does not apply. The date at which a student submits an application form has no impact on the placement result of this student.

Please note that students are asked to make multiple choices to maximize their chances to be placed; however, the placement process will assign only one course per student, which will be attended all week long.

For further information on eligibility and registration, please contact your school’s administration or your school board representative.
