I
can unicycle and juggle (not at the same time yet).

What do you want to accomplish in the next 10 years?
I want to become a professional engineer, work for myself designing and building small energy efficient homes, start a healthy living blog, travel and experience beautiful areas in Canada and have a simple lifestyle to allow for time with family.

Who is the most inspiring engineer you know or have heard of?
Cynthia Cruickshank is an inspiring engineer because she is a successful engineer and professor who is also down to earth and personable.  She led team Ontario to a successful solar decathlon competition against prestigious engineering schools. Cynthia puts herself out there and is involved in many projects; she embarks in challenges and believes in her abilities, which I find inspiring.

Why did you choose your program of study?
I am passionate about the outdoors and exploring this planet and I want generations to come to be able to experience the world the way I have. I think my program of study will help give me the knowledge and skills that I need to make a difference in the world of sustainability.

What has been your favourite course?
My favourite courses have been my program specific classes, the class sizes are smaller, which allows us to get to know each other, and they target our interests.

What has been the best part of your Engineering education?
Making connections and friendships with many interesting people, I believe having connections in my field of study will be a useful thing to take out of university.

What do you hope to do after you graduate?
I would love to travel around Canada by bicycle for a bit, make more connections and live meaningful life experiences. I would also love to work in northern communities and gain skills by doing hands on work.
