The School of Information Technology and the Adobe Creative Cloud team will be hosting Creative Jam, an inspiring design experience that demonstrates and celebrates creativity, on March 28, 2017 in Carleton’s Porter Hall.

The event includes:

  • A one-hour design showcase highlighting the work of some local creative leaders (starting at 8:00 pm)
  • Portfolio review session prior to the presentations (starting at 7:00 pm)
  • A design tournament by student design teams, a 3-hour design charrette showdown (starting at 5:00 pm)

The tournament will include two categories: motion design and graphic design. Creative Jam tournament participants will take the stage to share their creations after completing their presentations. The event’s audience will have the opportunity to vote on each submission and select the People’s Choice winner. There will also be Grand Prize winners decided by a group of judges.

Prizes include a 1-year subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud and gift cards to local and/or online stores.

Creative Jam is free and open to public (please register online). Participants looking to compete in tournament must sign up separately for portfolio review (please see the instructions listed on the Creative Jam event page).

Adobe/Carleton Creative Jam is part of Digitally Canadian, a series of events celebrating Canada’s 150th and Carleton University’s 75th anniversaries.
