In 1928 Japanese-occupied Taiwan, teachers at the Chiayi Agriculture and Forestry Public School (KANO) work to develop local agricultural potential. The team, drilled into shape by their demanding coach, becomes strong and disciplined, and goes on to challenge some of the finest baseball teams in Japan.
