Every month, we share the stories of five prominent and inspiring alumni as we count down to Carleton University’s 75th birthday on June 18, 2017.

This month, we’re celebrating our first 50 honoured alumni!

The newest members of the 75 for the 75th include:

  • John Abbott, Deputy Minister of Health and Community Services, navigates the currents of Newfoundland politics.
  • Anca Gurzu, Reporter for POLITICO, covers the energy crisis from Brussels.
  • Jane Stinson, Director of the Feminist Northern Network, is a lifelong advocate for women.
  • Alex Usher, the CEO of Higher Education Strategy Associates, is a friendly critic of universities.
  • Kelly Williamson, Senior Public Affairs Officer for Maritime Forces Atlantic, shares stories from Haiti and Nepal.

The 75 for the 75th project was launched in honour of Carleton University’s 75th anniversary in 2017. We’ll be releasing five new Faculty of Public Affairs alumni stories each month until Carleton’s 75th birthday in June 2017.
