Logan Cochrane’s work in the countries of Ethiopia, Uganda, Burundi, Tanzania and DR Congo helped earn him a fellowship worth $70,000 a year for two years.
His postdoctoral project will “investigate how citizens engage their fellow citizens and government to make positive change in policies and institutions,” according to a Carleton University news article. “He’ll consider how specific factors contribute to change such as religion, linguistic, age, gender as well as access to information. He’ll also consider the effect government responsiveness has on a country’s stability.”
