Holly is currently completing her Ph.D. in Psychology at Carleton University. Prior to that, she received her Diploma in Correctional Work at Algonquin College. Later she received her B.A. (Hons) in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a concentration in Psychology at Carleton University and her Masters in Psychology from Carleton University. Holly’s main research interests include how to maximize the accuracy of crime analysis techniques such as behavioural linkage and geographic profiling and research to help inform training and practices for police agencies. Her other interests include examining key differences between different types of serial offenders, particularly sex offenders, and how those key differences can help maximize investigative practices and better inform risk and recidivism assessment and treatment strategies in order to help make society safer. Other research interests include examining trends in court regarding crime analysis, NCRMD, and use of force, particularly how it pertains to women and Aboriginals. Her Ph.D. dissertation focuses on the various issues regarding the use of body worn video by law enforcement.
