zombies

Robert Smith? is a professor of biomathematics at the University of Ottawa. He once combined his day job with pop culture and in doing so accidentally invented the academic sub-discipline of mathematical modelling of zombies. He has nine books on academia and/or pop culture to his name: he co-wrote “Who’s 50: The 50 Doctor Who Stories to Watch Before You Die”, “Who is the Doctor” and the forthcoming “The Doctors Are In” for ECW Press. He also edited “Outside In: 160 New Perspectives on 160 Classic Doctor Who Stories by 160 Writers” and its sequel, “Outside In 2: 125 Unique Perspectives on 125 Modern Doctor Who Stories by 125 Writers” for ATB Publishing; “Chicks Dig Gaming” for Mad Norwegian Press; “Mathematical Modelling of Zombies” and “Braaaiiinnnsss!: From Academics to Zombies” for The University of Ottawa Press (the definitive showcase of what academics actually do, as viewed through the lens of a zombie invasion); and also wrote “Modelling Disease Ecology with Mathematics” for the American Institute of Mathematical Sciences.”
