PC Outlook Users who use Exchange Public Folders – Maintenance, Jan 29-31, 2016

Maintenance will be performed on the Exchange Public Folders, the weekend of Friday, Jan 29th. Access to your Exchange email, as well as to any Shared Mailboxes, will not be affected.

What are Public Folders?
Public Folders are a legacy feature of Exchange for Faculty and Staff, accessible only to PC Outlook users, and used only by a small subset of Exchange users on campus. (See image below)

During this Public Folder maintenance, beginning Friday, Jan 29 at 5:00PM, the Public Folders will remain accessible, but in read-only mode. A few Public Folders are configured to receive email messages. Any mail sent to these mail-enabled Public Folders (see list below) will be queued for later delivery.

Normal access to the Public Folders will be restored as quickly as possible,  but no later than the end of Sunday (midnight), Jan 31. Access was restored at 9:00PM Friday, Jan 29.
