We are pleased to announce that Computing and Communications Services (CCS) is now Information Technology Services (ITS).

After nearly 30 years of being known as CCS, this change is well overdue. In the late 80’s when we first changed from Computing Services to Computing and Communication Services, the name was representative of the services we provided – computers, network, and phones.

Today, our business consists of more than this. The name Information Technology Services (ITS) better reflects our mission to provide enterprise information technology solutions and services to support the learning, teaching, research, and administrative goals of Carleton University. The new name is also more intuitive and recognizable, particularly to new staff, faculty and students coming to campus.

Throughout the next month we will be working to change references of CCS to ITS. We now have new website address (carleton.ca/its) and a new Service Desk email (ITS.service.desk@carleton.ca) – however, during the transition emails sent to ccs.service.desk@carleton.ca will be forwarded to the ITS Service Desk.

Along with our new name, we are also happy to introduce our new Online Help Centre. This is where you will now go to find documentation, video tutorials, and FAQs to help you do you what you need to do – such as connecting to the CU-Wireless, changing your MyCarletonOne password, setting up your voicemail, and more.
