The Carleton University Max and Tessie Zelikovitz Centre for Jewish Studies is pleased to host a conference on April 24-25, 2013 in recognition of Canada’s assumption of the Chair of the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (formerly the ITF).

“If Not Now, When? Responsibility and Memory After the Holocaust” will bring together Canadian parliamentarians, senior Holocaust studies scholars, survivors and other public figures to discuss issues involving the alliance’s mandate of remembrance, education and research.
Distinguished speakers will include Dr. Mario Silva, incoming Chair IHRA, the Honourable Irwin Cotler and Professor Irving Abella.

Conference hours:

8:30-9:00 Registration and Coffee
Last event of each day is the keynote (April 24th from 6-7pm, Irwin Cotler)  and closing address (April 25th from 6-7pm, Irving Abella)

April 24th Reception in Honour of The Azrieli Foundation and the Azrieli family for their contributions to Holocaust remembrance and education begins at 7 pm (kosher)

Registration is 50$ for both days and includes kosher dairy/vegetarian lunch for each day BUT NOT RECEPTION & DINNER

Seniors and Students may register for the conference without lunches (15$) and may register for lunch for each day separately (15$ each)

Reception & Dinner in Honour of The Azrieli Foundation and the Azrieli family for their contributions to Holocaust remembrance and education April 24  125$  Kosher  (note that all our invited guests and all presenters will have free registration and reception invitation)

Presenters will be asked to register at no charge.
