Paul Adams - Associate Professor

Paul Adams is a veteran of CBC Television’s The National as well as CBC Radio and the Globe and Mail. His specialty is political reporting and he has been posted in the Middle East, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg and Edmonton.

His book, Summer of the Heart: Saving Alexandre was short-listed for the Writers’ Trust biography prize in 2004. In 2012, he published Power Trap about Canada’s federal opposition parties. He was also the “ghost-writer” for the memoirs of the Rt. Hon. Paul Martin, Hell or High Water.

Adams also formerly worked for EKOS Research, where he managed political polling conducted for the Toronto Star, La Presse and the CBC. He has participated in or led a number of election observation missions to the Middle East and Africa.

A former lecturer in political science at the University of Manitoba, Adams has a honours political science and history degree from U of M, as well as master’s degrees from Oxford (modern history) and Columbia (journalism).
