Susan Harada - Associate Professor, Graduate Supervisor - Journalism

Susan Harada joined the School in January 2003, bringing with her two decades of experience as a broadcast journalist. Most of her professional life was spent with the CBC. She was a National Parliamentary Correspondent with the CBC’s Ottawa Bureau, and prior to that, a documentary journalist for the CBC’s flagship current affairs show The Journal. Over the years, her reporting took her across Canada and the U.S., and around the world. She also filled in as co-host of The Journal, and host of The National.

She is a graduate of Ryerson’s Journalism program, and has a master of arts degree in Legal Studies from Carleton. Her research interests include media coverage of justice, Supreme Court of Canada, and privacy issues.
