The Masters of Political Management Student Experience Fund was established by Bill Fox, MPM fellow and the program’s inaugural practitioner-in-residence, with support from Canadian National Railway, Torrance J. Wylie, and Bill Fox. In 2022, the Fund received a new influx of support through the generous support of MPM alumni and community donors.

Terms and Eligibility

Each student is eligible to apply for support from the Fund to take part in developmental activities (such as conventions, conferences, campaigns, training workshops, or other activities) relevant to the practice of political management. The Fund can be used to pay for transportation, accommodation, per diems (for meals and incidental expenses), registration fees, or other reasonable costs associated with these events. For ethical and legal reasons, we cannot reimburse students for fees paid to political parties or registered charities. Note: This restriction may apply, for example, to convention registration fees.

Each year, the Program Director will determine the maximum amount available per student, depending on the balance available in the Fund. You may use the fund for multiple events, as long as the per-student limit is not exceeded. We are unable to provide advancesNote: There is no guarantee that applications will be approved. The Fund is not a per-student allocation but rather a merit-based source of support.

Application Deadline: Minimum of 45 days prior to the proposed event.
