Dec. 16, 2013 – For immediate release

The Campus Safety Services will be providing Christmas Hampers to four underprivileged Ottawa families through the Shepherds of Good Hope Christmas Hamper program.  Campus Safety has supported the Christmas Hamper program since 2009.

This year, the Campus Safety Services’s Wellness Committee raised over $700 through its annual ball hockey tournament, bake sale and raffle tickets.

“We are on track to support another four families this year, which is great!” said Krista Sayeau, Co-Chair of the Department’s Wellness Committee.

The Christmas Hamper program matches community members / groups with families within the Ottawa area to provide them with a full Christmas dinner and essential items which the family simply cannot afford.

The Campus Safety Services would like to thank everyone who contributed this year. Your contributions will go a long way to make Christmas more special for four families.
