Mr. Greg Owens is currently finishing his Bachelor of Science, Honours, in Neuroscience and Mental Health with a Minor in Biology, with Co-op Distinction. He has been the President of the Student Alliance for Mental Health, a thousand-plus member student-run mental health organization at Carleton University that works on advocacy, support and education for folks with mental illnesses. He identifies as a queer man with multiple psychiatric disabilities,  and attempts to use his platform to highlight both his lived experiences and to amplify the lived experiences of marginalized folks. He currently sits on the CUSA Accessibility Fund Committee, Carleton Science Student Society Council, and Carleton Academic Student Government Council, and has experience as a regional Outreach Coordinator with the Canadian Federation of Students and as a Scientific Evaluator for Health Canada.  He was elected to the Board by the undergraduate students for a one-year term ending on June 30th, 2017.
