In the winter term of 2015, then-Master of Journalism student Tom Hall spent a night riding with staff on the City of Ottawa’s needle-exchange van, researching a feature for his senior magazine course.
The van provides clean supplies and health services to drug users, and also acts as a bridge between worlds for those on the fringes of society. Now you can read the newly graduated Hall’s story about his night on the van in the September 2015 issue of Ottawa Magazine.
