Back in the seventies, an American rock group sang satirically about making it onto the cover of the Rolling Stone. Now the Journalism program’s professor Randy Boswell has made it into that storied rock and roll magazine, publishing the results of yet another mystery that he solved using digitized historical newspapers.

His latest sleuthing uncovered the identity of the mystery man behind Heartbreak Hotel, the 1956 Elvis Presley hit that helped propel Presley to stardom while influencing a generation of rock superstars.
