The School of Journalism and Communication invites applications from qualified candidates for a preliminary (tenure-track) appointment in Journalism at the rank of Assistant Professor beginning July 1, 2017.

The successful candidate will participate in the development and teaching of new curricula for digitally-focused professional workshops at the undergraduate/ graduate levels.

A related research agenda in journalism and journalistic practice will enable the successful candidate to contribute to the Journalism program’s national/ international profile while taking the lead in the development of courses exploring the meaning and impact of journalism and journalistic innovation, and supervising graduate research projects and theses.

The successful candidate will be dedicated to effective and enterprising teaching, have a strong commitment to student engagement, and will contribute meaningfully as a committed faculty member to the academic and administrative life of the Journalism program, the School, the university and larger community.

Closing date for Applications: Consideration of complete applications will begin November 20, 2016 and continue until the position is filled.
