Communication Professor Karim H. Karim will be the 2016 Expressions of Muslim Diversity Visiting Professor at Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, British Columbia this summer.  

He will deliver a public lecture and teach a seminar on knowledge, power, and identity in Muslim contexts. These activities will be part of the international summer program run by SFU’s Centre for the Comparative Study of Muslim Societies and Cultures.

Karim will draw on two of his recently co-edited books, Re-Imagining the Other: Culture, Media, and Western-Muslim Intersections and Engaging the Other: Public Policy and Western-Muslim Intersections, which have been published by Palgrave Macmillan.
