Michelle Bartleman

Biography

BA (Journalism and Public Communications) and BSc (Aviation Technology), University of Alaska Anchorage 

Originally from Montreal, Michelle was a student-athlete at the University of Alaska Anchorage and managing editor of the student newspaper The Northern Light, where she won a Hearst Journalism Award for editorial writing and an Alaska Press Club award for page design. She worked as an online content producer for the Anchorage Daily News, and a production designer for The Chief newspaper in Squamish, B.C., before beginning a full-time athletic career as a member of the Canadian national skeleton team. Michelle is a freelance web and graphic designer, an avid traveller and language enthusiast, and spent last year living and studying in Germany.
