Evelyn Harford

Biography

B.A. Hons. International Relations and African Studies, University of Toronto

Studying at the University of Toronto, Evelyn confirmed her childhood passion for journalism by writing for Journalists for Human Rights, Earth Reform and The Green Society Campaign. She developed her more refined interest in African Studies when conducting research at the African Union and United Nations Economic Commission for Africa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. As a graduate, Evelyn backpacked across East Africa volunteering with the Toronto based non-profit Operation Groundswell. Subsequent to these travels she worked as the Communication and Marketing intern at Operation Groundswell. Evelyn is passionate about covering topics concerning human rights, equity, feminism, environmentalism and international development.
