Biography

B.A Political Science, Concordia University

Laurene has a Political Science degree from Concordia University. She also pursued a minor in Professional Writing, which led her to become the editor of the “politics” section of Montrealités.ca. Laurene has an appetite for human rights, environmental justice, and domestic & foreign policy. Born and raised in one of the most multicultural cities in Canada—Montreal—she quickly recognized the pivotal role that representation and expression play in democratic societies. Laurene knows that Carleton’s Master of Journalism program will provide her with emblematic armor and weaponry required to preserve and protect freedom of the press.
