This theme will focus on fostering youth hope and aspirations for the future. Through engaging them as decision-makers, youth will strengthen leadership skills and enable a view of themselves as having something to contribute. By facilitating socially affirming activities, we hope to foster relationships among youth and their communities, promoting the feeling among youth that they belong. Elders have also highlighted the need for youth to understand the complex history of First Nations people that has lead to their current experiences.
