The 2024 CanCH4 Symposium \u2013 Methane by the Numbers was a technical meeting to share research and measurement data on methane emissions in support of Faster & Further, Canada’s National Methane Strategy.  <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With support from the Government of Canada’s <\/span>Methane Center of Excellence<\/span><\/a>, the CanCH4 symposium brought together leading research programs from universities, government labs, and the private sector to share measurement data analysis that will advance policy development and emission reduction strategies.  The objective was to focus on sharing new information across sectors to accelerate the emissions reductions. <\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The symposium featured a main program on Monday \u2013 Tuesday (May 13-14), symposium dinner on Tuesday evening, and a special event on Wednesday (May 15): EU-Canada Dialogue on Methane as part of the European Union Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) project.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2024 CanCH4 Symposium was generously supported by Natural Resources Canada, Carleton University Faculty of Engineering & Design, the EU-Canada Dialogue on Methane as part of the European Union Climate Dialogues (EUCDs) project, and Environmental Defense Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
