We are pleased to announce the second annual Conference on Governance for Sustainability will convene on 16-17 May 2013 in Oxford, UK. The conference is hosted by the Smith School of Enterprise and the Environment and sponsored by the SSHRC-funded Responsible Investment Initiative Community University Research Alliance (CURA).
The purpose of the conference is to foster a unique dialogue between practitioners and academic researchers on the governance challenges and opportunities presented by natural resource constraints for the financial sector, including rising demand for agricultural, mineral, and energy commodities; stresses on water resources; extreme volatility in energy and agriculture prices; ecosystem degradation; and climate-driven impacts on natural capital.
