Douglas Pawson

Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship in Impact Investing & Policy Innovation

Douglas Pawson is a Social Enterprise and Supported Employment Program Manager and Evaluator with Causeway Work Centre, an Ottawa-based community economic development organization.  He was also a Social Finance Fellow with the SVX, a local, impact first market connecting social ventures, impact funds and impact investors based at SiG@MaRS in Toronto.  During his career, Douglas has gained considerable exposure to social enterprise development, social finance instruments and program evaluation.  Douglas is currently a PhD student in Public Policy at Carleton University where his research focuses on social finance, impact investing, and impact assessment.  Prior to this, Douglas earned two master’s degrees, a MBA in Community Economic Development from Cape Breton University, and a Master of Philosophy in Policy Studies from the University of New Brunswick as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Studies and English from Bishop’s University.
