Sheena Kennedy obtained a Master of Arts in Public Administration in 2009. She is currently pursuing her PhD in the School of Public Policy and Administration.
Sheena became affiliated with the Centre for Community Innovation through her MA research with Frances Abele on northern community development. She worked as an independent researcher for two years before returning to Carleton to start her doctoral studies. She has worked primarily with the community of Igloolik conducting a socio-economic baseline study there. She has also been involved with a variety of other projects focusing on resource development and post-secondary education in Nunavut and Nunavik. In Fall 2011, Sheena will be teaching a course in research methods at Nunavut Sivuniksavut in Ottawa.
