Mason Ducharme is from Lil\u2019wat Nation, and Samahquam Nation in British Columbia.<\/p>\n
Mason is passionate about Indigenous self-determination. Over the past decade he has gained extensive professional experience, starting at the age of 23 when he became one of the youngest band administrators in Canada for Nuchatlaht Tribe. Most recently, Mason has served his community as the Director of the T\u015bzil Learning Centre for Lil\u2019wat Nation.<\/p>\n
While working, Mason has also pursued educational opportunities. He is currently enrolled in his PhD at the University of Victoria in the School of Public Administration. His dissertation will focus on the retention of Indigenous executives in Indigenous organizations. This pursuit follows the achievements of his Masters in Public Administration (MPA) in 2018 from the University of Victoria, and Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Capilano University and an Advanced Diploma in International Business in 2015.<\/p>\n
