{"id":2369,"date":"2015-06-10T14:28:01","date_gmt":"2015-06-10T18:28:01","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/carleton.ca\/3ci\/?p=2369"},"modified":"2015-06-10T14:28:01","modified_gmt":"2015-06-10T18:28:01","slug":"3ci-research-associate-supporting-efforts-to-establish-university-in-canadas-arctic","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/3ci\/2015\/3ci-research-associate-supporting-efforts-to-establish-university-in-canadas-arctic\/","title":{"rendered":"3ci Research Associate supporting efforts to establish university in Canada&#8217;s Arctic"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>3ci Research Associate and PhD Candidate in the School of Public Policy and Administration, Sheena Kennedy Dalseg has been working as part of a team of university researchers, engaged Nunavut citizens, and representatives from the Government of Nunavut as well as Inuit organizations across Inuit Nunangat to support and facilitate efforts to develop a university in Canada\u2019s Arctic.<\/p>\n<p>This past March 18-19,\u00a0the Government of Nunavut, Nunavut Tunngavik Inc., Inuit Tapiriit Kanatami, and a group of ArcticNet researchers from Carleton University (Sheena and PhD Candidate, Canadian Studies, Kelly Black) Laval University (Thierry Rodon), and the University of Saskatchewan (Karla Jessen Williamson) came together to plan and co-host a workshop, which brought together key stakeholders to discuss and develop a roadmap for the creation of a university in Inuit Nunangat.
