On October 20, 2015, Dr. Ben Richardson will discuss investors\u2019 response to climate change in a seminar hosted by the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation (3ci) at Carleton University. This seminar critically assesses the capacity of the financial sector to address climate change, highlighting the impediments and opportunities offering recommendations for new directions.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe global fossil fuel divestment movement is an intriguing attempt to leverage positive environmental changes in the economy when many governments have failed to show leadership in addressing climate change.\u201d<\/p>\n

Respondents include Tessa Hebb, Director of the Carleton Centre for Community Innovation (3ci), Nancy Kyte, Senior Portfolio Manager, Treasury, Export Development Canada, and Misha Voloaca, a PhD Student in Experimental Psychology and member of Fossil Free uOttawa<\/em>.<\/p>\n
