Project Summary<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The David C. Onley Initiative: Actioning Student Employment (DCOI\u00a0ASE) Project builds on the earlier phases of the David C. Onley Initiative, 1.0 Project (2018-2020) and 2.0 Project (2024-2025). This applied research project continues to work towards improving employment outcomes of post-secondary students with disabilities in Ontario through collaboration with other post-secondary institutions,\u00a0service providers, students with disabilities, employers, and subject matter experts.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

DCOI\u00a0ASE\u00a0aims to test and further refine\u00a0best practices\u00a0that\u00a0support\u00a0students with disabilities\u00a0in employment\u00a0pathways and\u00a0support services.\u00a0The project will engage in\u00a0capacity building\u00a0with\u00a0service providers and employers, co-creation\u00a0between students, service providers, and employers, and\u00a0application\u00a0of key practices\u00a0in\u00a0real\u00a0campus\u00a0and employer\u00a0settings\u00a0during co-op and work-integrated learning pathways.\u00a0The project\u00a0will\u00a0leverage\u00a0previously developed resources such as the\u00a0DCOI Field Guide<\/a> and #AbleTo Tap into Talent<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
