Coordinated Accessibility Strategy<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The creation of a Coordinated Accessibility Strategy emerged from the desire to continue building on Carleton\u2019s commitment to creating a culture of accessibility. Carleton University approved the first Coordinated Accessibility Strategy in 2020, led by the Accessibility Institute.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Coordinated Accessibility Strategy serves as a framework to support Carleton\u2019s commitment to fostering a strong culture of accessibility across the campus by coordinating programs and initiatives related to accessibility, while prioritizing the creation of an inclusive environment for all students, employees and visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following a consultation process<\/a> throughout the 2024-2025 academic year, Carleton University launched the renewed Coordinated Accessibility Strategy (CAS), the university\u2019s multi-year plan that guides the university in its accessibility initiatives. View the CAS annual progress reports<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Implementation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The CAS Implementation Plan outlines how Carleton University puts its Coordinated Accessibility Strategy into action. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built on community input and guided by lived experience, the plan provides a roadmap to improve accessibility across campus. Through a coordinated approach and a multi-year timeline, it turns strategic goals into actions, helping create a more inclusive and accessible Carleton for everyone.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A key contributor to this work is the CAS Advisory Group<\/a>, which includes 22 volunteer members and four CAS team members. Together, they\u00a0represent\u00a0students, staff, faculty, instructors, alumni, and individuals with living\/lived experience of disability.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
