{"id":161,"date":"2019-01-25T12:30:24","date_gmt":"2019-01-25T17:30:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/aerospace-structures-and-materials\/?p=161"},"modified":"2019-04-25T00:09:25","modified_gmt":"2019-04-25T04:09:25","slug":"nasa-isi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/aerospace-structures-and-materials\/2019\/nasa-isi\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Project with ISI and NASA"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that\u00a0the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nserc-crsng.gc.ca\/index_eng.asp\">Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada<\/a>\u00a0has approved the funding application of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/aerospace-structures-and-materials\/prof-mostafa-el-sayed\/\">professor Mostafa El Sayed<\/a>\u00a0for the Collaborative R&amp;D project with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intertronicsolutions.com\/\">InterTronic Solutions<\/a> and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/\">National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA)<\/a>. Over the next four years, the research team of the <a href=\"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/aerospace-structures-and-materials\/cu-home\/homepage\/\">ASME-Lab<\/a> will be working closely with engineers and scientists from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.intertronicsolutions.com\/\">InterTronic Solutions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/\">NASA<\/a> to develop a new generation of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Very-long-baseline_interferometry\">VLBI<\/a> ground stations with ultra-high pointing accuracy under severe environmental conditions including gust turbulence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We are pleased to announce that\u00a0the\u00a0Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada\u00a0has approved the funding application of\u00a0professor Mostafa El Sayed\u00a0for the Collaborative R&amp;D project with InterTronic Solutions and the\u00a0National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
