{"id":319,"date":"2024-01-25T14:07:09","date_gmt":"2024-01-25T19:07:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/afghanistanppp\/?p=319"},"modified":"2024-02-06T10:25:18","modified_gmt":"2024-02-06T15:25:18","slug":"request-for-proposal-rfp-video-documentary-for-advocacy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/carleton.ca\/afghanistanppp\/2024\/request-for-proposal-rfp-video-documentary-for-advocacy\/","title":{"rendered":"Request for Proposal (RFP): Video Documentary for Advocacy"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span lang=\"EN-US\">Placement, Preservation and Perseverance: Afghan At-risk Scholars, Activists and Students (PPP), is a collaborative research project between Carleton University and University of British Columbia and funded by the International Development Research Centre (IDRC).<\/span> <span lang=\"EN\">The focus of PPP project is to support Afghan at-risk scholars, activists, students and journalists who have been forced to flee Afghanistan due to the ongoing crisis, with special attention given to vulnerable groups, such as women and ethnic minorities. Beyond supporting Afghan scholars, students and activists, the project investigates how Canadian higher education institutions can be better prepared and more responsive to crises of academic freedom and supporting at-risk scholars, students and activists around the world. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span lang=\"EN\">The PPP project team at Carleton University is calling for proposal from interested individual contractors and\/or film production companies to produce a short video documentary about the PPP project to raise awareness and advance public discussion on specific advocacy issues related to at-risk scholars and activists.
