Her Excellency Mrs. Edda Mukabagwiza, the High Commissioner of Rwanda to Canada is a lawyer by training.\u00a0 She holds a bachelor degree in Law from the National University of Rwanda.\u00a0 Before being appointed as High Commissioner of Rwanda to Canada in 2007, she occupied different high level positions in the Government. She was Minister of Justice, from 2003 to 2006, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Justice from 2000 to 2003. Mrs Edda Mukabagwiza\u00a0 has also been the\u00a0 Executive Secretary of HAGURUKA, The Association defending and promoting women and children\u2019s rights, from 1999 to 2000, and prior to that, she was working as a legal advisor and consultant to the Ministry of Agriculture and the Ministry of Justice from 1996 to 1999.<\/p>\n

Her Excellency Else Berit Eikeland has been the Norwegian Ambassador to Canada for almost three years now. \u00a0She has a Master\u2019s degree from the University of Bergen, Norway, in Political Science and Management. \u00a0She has held the position of Director General of NORAD (which is the equivalent to the Canadian CIDA) and been responsible for Norwegian aid to civil society and business. \u00a0Eikeland is a career diplomat who has previously served in the Philippines, the United States, and the United Kingdom.<\/p>\n
