Amanda Coffie earned a Ph.D from the Department of Political Science at Carleton University. Her research spans a continuum of forced migration, from conflict zones, through asylum, repatriation and transnational. Her work attends to issues of forced displacement, security, asylum policies, and programs of host countries and international organizations as well as post-conflict peacebuilding. She has published on Asylum Policy and Practices in Ghana and Refugee returnees\u2019 deployment of higher education skills to Liberia\u2019s peacebuilding. She is currently working on Transnational and Diaspora participation in post-conflict West Africa as well as the changing phases of refugee policies and practices in Africa. Amanda is a Research Fellow at the Legon Center for International Affairs and Diplomacy at the University of Ghana, Accra Ghana.<\/p>\n
