For the past half year, Prof Mbembe has been organizing debates across twelve African countries, addressing what he calls the \u2018big angry questions\u2019 of French military intervention, the Francophonie, the future of the CFA franc and the governance of natural resources. Mbembe has previously accused Macron of \u201clacking imagination\u201d in his political engagement with Africa. He boldly seized Macron\u2019s invitation to recraft an agenda for new relations between France and Africa.
