Namakula\u2019s primary area is focused on the struggle of those marginalized by colonial and neocolonial systems of oppression and exploitation, neoliberal authoritarianism and political repression. I am currently researching on Mineral Resource based wars\/armed conflict, peacekeeping, peacebuilding and the hype of renewable\/green energy in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Namakula has a keen interest in African Peace and Security; Peacebuilding, Peacekeeping, post- conflict reconstruction;&nbsp;women in peace and security.
